FAQs about the 2020 Yearbook
Did I buy a book? Check here to see.
When will we get the yearbook? Although our publisher, Balfour, was just allowed to reopen May 18, we have been notified that our book has cleared several steps of the production process, with several more to go. We're hesitant to say a date until we get a bit closer, but we will give you at least two weeks notice before distribution.
Why is it slow? Our normal turnaround is six weeks from when we send the book. Due to state mandates, Balfour was only able to open at 25% capacity, so although they are printing 24 hours a day, the process is slower. Additionally, we have a few extra features of the book this year (no spoilers), so that means it has to go through more steps in production.
How will we get the book? The plan is for drive-thru distribution, similar to what was done with caps & gowns for seniors. If students are unable to drive-thru, additional options will be offered in August. We will be unable to accept cash or check, so all orders must be done through Balfour. Click here for that link.
Has the 2020 book already won awards? Why YES! It was selected as a national sample by our publisher, which means it will be given to reps & schools across the country as an exemplary book. Additionally, our Covid-19 spread won third in the country from NSPA and we won six preliminary awards from ILPC, the Journalism leg of UIL.
